We are looking to add a Outside Sales Representative - Rental to our lineup in New Windsor, NY! This position's territory will be primarily Westchester County, NY.
With limited supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring that the revenue goals are met and/or exceeded monthly.
To accomplish this, the position acts as a liaison between new and existing customers in an assigned territory and the store operations staff.
Education / Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent Related sales and equipment experience a plus Manufacturer-sponsored training a plus Years and Related-type Experience Minimum 18 years old Active driver's license Clean driving record One or two years of experience in sales Fluent in oral and written English Proficient in solving problems using mathematics Professional personal appearance High degree of patience when working with customers Physical Demands / Working Conditions Activities require handling and grasping with the hands when performing delivery of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls and other small parts Occasional use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment to test operation Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

Exposure to loud noise, dust, gas or fumes Work in unprotected weather elements at times Ability to wear hearing and eye protection as required Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least four hours per day Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times when necessary In addition to regular hours, after hours weekdays and weekends may be required Duties Recommends equipment purchases to management Coordinates equipment reservations with counter personnel.
Prepares and maintains up-to-date call reports.
Prepares and maintains up-to-date sales records in CRM.
Organizes calls.
Prepares all sales aids and sales contests.
Recommends replacement of equipment.
Maintains a professional image/appearance.
Makes cold calls to solicit business.
Promotes rental concept on sales calls.
Encourages order building to clientele.
Follows up on sales leads.
Assists with overflow from counter personnel and any delivery and pickup of equipment.
Instructs customers on equipment operation.
Prepares daily and/or monthly outside sales reports.
Attends sales, store and safety meetings.
Assists when complaints and emergencies arise by investigating and solving the problem.
Creates and reviews with management the catalog for updates, creates flyers, and prepares and tallies customer service surveys for any special projects and mailings.
Consults with management on ad design and placement.
Report safety violations to supervisor.
Network with other industry professionals.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as requested.
