Human Resources (HR) Senior Director

Job Description
This position leads the HR function and performs senior level HR generalist duties and is based in a warehouse/distribution facility that operates 24/7 six days per week and employs 350+ associates in a variety of functions including outside sales, DOT regulated delivery drivers, warehouse, finance, food & non-foods purchasing. The position requires a hands-on management approach balancing required compliance, transactional duties with people planning strategies. The company's internal title for the role is Vice President Human Resources and has 3 direct reports (HR Manager, Payroll Coordinator and Receptionist). The position is bonus eligible and reports to the operating company president.
Specific duties include:
Lead, develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to include, but not limited to: retention, staffing, development, coaching, compliance, engagement, performance management and problem resolution.
Lead, monitor and support all recruiting efforts with hiring managers in staffing all vacancies. Ensure all compliance and administrative items are completed according to established guidelines (i.e. I-9 forms, onboarding, employment applications, OFCCP compliance).
Lead, develop and implement management training and development in application of policies and procedures. Assess training needs within the company and coordinate delivery of appropriate information (i.e., computer skills, management skills, etc.)
Function as an associate advocate by representing associates' issues to management as appropriate. Work with management team in resolving associate issues by investigating concerns and sharing resolution alternatives.
Assist in the development, maintenance and enforcement of company policies and procedures to include effective communications with associates. Advise management of fair and consistent application of all approved policies and procedures.
Lead, develop and implement onboarding and engagement practices and processes to ensure retention of top talent.
Oversee procedures and processes to maintain our compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations. Work with Safety Committee and building maintenance team on compliance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in HR Mgt or related field
4-6 years lead/senior HR generalist work experience at manager or above level
Strong recruiting and compliance management experience
HRIS related systems acumen including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel Powerpoint, Outlook), applicant tracking system, online performance management tool and ADP HR Enterprise
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in HR Mgt or related field
6+ years HR generalist work experience at director or above level
Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
SHRM-CP/SCP and/or PHR/SPHR certification
Demonstrated success in associate engagement and development related practices
Local candidates requiring no relocation preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
