Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator position will perform the following duties:
Assists the Logistics Manager in effectively managing the entire daily operations of inbound logistics in order to acquire control of inbound freight at less than delivered price to enhance bottom line income for the company.
Generates period-end revenue report.
Identifies backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue.
Identifies loads to be moved by contract carriage and schedule such move.
Monitors accepted loads and verify that the loads were delivered on time.
Audits carriers' freight bills to ensure they agree with carriers' confirmations.
Coordinates with Accounting to file vendor charge-backs to orders with volumes that have been confirmed but not shipped by managed vendor.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Computer Skills
6 mos.- 1 yr Logistics or related Experience
Attention to detail/accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Accounting experience
1 yr - 2 yrs Logistics Experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
